Not sure of what kind of pet photos to send to us?
At Petprintingco, our goal is to help you create a custom pet portrait that accurately captures your petβs unique personality and characteristics. Our artists rely on the photos you provide us to reference and draw from. To help us accurately draw your pet, use this Image Submission Guideline page to submit images of your pet to us. Below are some tips you can follow to provide us high-quality images of your pet! With your help, we can create something that is unique to you and your pet!
Image Format
Please provide your petβs photo in either .jpeg (.jpg) or .png format.
We do not accept other formats such as .raw, .pdf, .tiff, or .psd.
Subject Focus
Ensure your pet is the primary focus and occupies a majority of the frame.
Avoid distracting elements that block or are in the way of your pet.
Ensure your petβs whole face & neck is visible and not in shadows
Background
A simple and uncluttered background often works best, this helps draw attention to the pet itself.
Avoid busy or distracting backgrounds that might affect your petβs features.
Lighting
Indirect, natural even lighting is ideal.
Avoid any harsh shadows, excessive highlights, or overexposure that may obscure details.
Composition
Avoid using heavily filtered photos that may incorrectly capture your petβs features and colors.
Your pet should be forward-facing, eye leveled and looking directly at the camera.
Image Quality
Avoid blurry and out of focus photos of your pet.
Crips, clear and high quality photos helps our artists paint a better and more accurate portrait of your pet.
Saturated images do not help us understand the true color of your pet.
